Back in April I started working on a Triangel Scarf. It’s finally finished and has spent a few weeks sitting in my knitting basket so I thought it was about time I shared it with you before the weather gets too warm and everyone loses interest in knitting.
I found the Traingel Scarf pattern on Ravelry. I liked the simplicity and the fact it’s really modern. Because you can work as many or few rows as you like it was perfect for using up some of the leftover wool from my Northmavine Hap (I know, I know, this is another cream knitting project).
It was a straightforward project so I don’t have a huge amount to say about it – I’ll get straight to the good stuff. The photos!
Towards the end of the Summer I want to make a large version, more like a shawl for throwing round my shoulders when we go for walks. So far I’m eyeballing these yarns:
- Rowan Fine Tweed – single colours with a nice flecked texture
- Louisa Harding Amitola – mainly for the colours, I love Iceberg and Humingbird
- Jamieson & Smith shetland wool – looks like amazing wool, beautiful colours too
If you have a favourite wool or know of something perfect for this project drop me a comment below, I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Thanks to Scott for being cameraman!

Lovely Gemma, you are one talented cookie! And I did a double take at the photo with the dog in, at first glance I thought you were wearing furry rave boots!

Haha! I’m not cool enough to own furry rave boots 😉
Your scarf is so pretty and delicate. I wish I could knit it’s a wonderful skill to have.
That is so fabulous, it never occured to me to have a ightweight knitted scarf, very pretty indeed. Mich x
