Flowers for Christmas

December has arrived, not long until the big day now! Our Christmas tree is up, a wreath is hanging on the door and there are some wrapped presents under the tree. We don’t go too mad with decorations; most of them are natural or homemade because neither of us are that into all-out glitter and sparkle. Every year I think about buying a Poinsettia for the coffee table and every year I leave it too late and end up not buying one! This year that doesn’t matter though because Blossoming Gifts have sent me a beautiful bunch of Christmas flowers to review.

This bouquet is chock full of greenery, carnations, berries and roses. And the rich red flowers with the deep green foliage make the whole thing feel very Christmassy indeed. I liked this particular bunch because it isn’t too over the top; it feels special without looking garish.

These red roses are some of the nicest I have seen. Each head is large, the colour is very rich and full of thick, velvety petals. They also smell amazing! So good in fact, I buried my face in them and took a big breath in after taking the wrapping off.

  1. Ah these are lovely 🙂

I’m not sure what we are doing about Christmas decorations this year. We are moving in the 12th and then everything will all be jumbled in boxes. I’d really like a real tree but I think it’s all going to be a bit last minuite unfortunately
