I’m starting to realise that part of being an adult is mentioning how quickly the year has gone, every year. But honestly, where has the time gone!?
I really enjoyed making travel videos over the last twelve months so I’ve put together a roundup of 2018. This wasn’t on my mind in January and if it had been, I would have filmed a few more people and events along the way but hey ho.
2018 was a mixed bag. Some highlights include spending time in Norway and Sweden, outdoor swimming, seeing two of our favourite people tie the knot in France (here and here), visiting Hay, exploring Edale, road trips with my good friend Annie, looking after Mischief the cat/Leila the scruff, finally decorating our home office and as of yesterday, I have another niece!

At the opposite end of the scale, we lost two family members within a short space of time and dealt with everything that came alongside it, plans fell through, we were screwed over by British Airways and mauled by giant mosquitos in France and Sweden — which resulted in blood and cankles.
I don’t usually make New Year resolutions but I wanted to improve my photography, travel and become less camera shy… that’s the only one I haven’t ticked off but I’m working on it. Scott managed to get a good photo of me in Sweden though.

I also wanted to share a few happy photos that weren’t uploaded anywhere.

2018 was a rough ride but we also had a lot of fun. To be honest, I’m sad to see it draw to a close in case 2019 isn’t as good. This past year has given me the confidence to be braver and chase things that make me happy. I also have a better idea of what I want from life and the year ahead. Ideally I’d be living life as an adventure photographer but I’ll settle for more travel 🙂 Happy new year and thanks so much for reading and commenting!
One more thing… some of my favourite music has been She’s Kerosene by The Interrupters, Death of Guitar Pop by Suburban Ska Club, Johnny Too Bad by Neville Staple and Diavolator by 63 High.
Video soundtrack: Johnny Too Bad, Neville Staple
I want that custard bun! Looks so good! Great video, as always, and neat to look back through the year. And yes, why is it that a year seems to fly by nowadays?!
Without doubt, the most scenic place I’ve eaten a bun 🙂 Happy New year Linda, hope 2019 is good to you. x
