I’ve written quite a few posts about Canada’s mountain views lately. But today, I’m taking you for a spin around Sorrento (Italy) instead. We visited back in July for a wedding and although it was only a short trip, I took a few photos I wanted to share.

Sorrento lemons are in a league of their own — large, knobbly and very fragrant.

We drank these cocktails and then flopped into bed for an afternoon nap while the day cooled off. I’ve still not found a pina colada as good as the ones we make at home — I’ll keep trying though.

The next few photos were taken at the farmhouse where our friends had their wedding reception. As you can see, the view was magic!
Sorrento isn’t our usual type of holiday destination but it was nice to add another adventure to our list. This place definitely gets a thumbs up for sunsets, gelato and lemons!
Beautiful photos 🍋 x
Thank you Tina!
Oh now I want to go! It looks lovely – I bet those lemons smelt amazing!
None of the lemons I’ve bought since have tasted quite as good…
Wonderful !
“Do you know the land where the lemon-trees grow,
in darkened leaves the gold-oranges glow,
a soft wind blows from the pure blue sky,
the myrtle stands mute, and the bay-tree high?
Do you know it well?
It’s there I’d be gone,
to be there with you, O, my beloved one!”
Thanks for sharing that poem Ron 🙂
