Scott prefixed his suggestion of visiting West End Flower Farm with “this place does cake”. Needless to say, I had no objections to stopping by. Flowers along with a mini adventure on our bikes were a bonus! We’ve visited twice now; once just the two of us and once with friends and their kids.
There are several polytunnels and an outdoor growing area full of flowers. Nothing smells better than sweet peas though.
One of the farm dogs was determined to come back with us. I wouldn’t have minded but I think the owners may have done.
Nice dogs, delicious cake and space to have a wander in the fresh air. It’s the perfect place to spend a couple of hours on a hot lazy weekend. Next time we visit, we’ll try the other cakes and I’ll finally order my own salted caramel hot chocolate!
