August was a month of kitsch crayfish decor, overcast days, the return of neutral coloured jumpers, choppy water, mini coffee vans, chanterelle piled up on pop-up fruit stands, and residential areas filling up again after the Summer holidays.

We had a real mix of Summer weather and moody days. I love looking out over the archipelago on the latter.

We went to the Outdoor Gear Flea Market at Kungsholmen — a place to buy secondhand outdoor gear and browse a few event sponsors. It’s fun to see what people are selling even if we don’t buy anything.

We saw these guys skating on Götgatan, then bumped into them again at Medis, when we were on our way to the cinema to see Oppenheimer.

One day, I’ll buy a coffee from this cafe at Mosebacke Torg on Södermalm. We always seem to walk past it when we’ve just eaten or aren’t ready for anything.

This is the grumpiest pug I’ve ever seen in my life. I couldn’t tell if this was just its resting face or whether it was actually sad.

We visited our favourite cookie shop first thing on a Saturday, for a sweet treat and a cup of tea. And walked away with another 5 cookies to eat over the weekend. You can probably guess they didn’t last until Monday.
That’s all for August! We spent a chunk of time away from Stockholm (hiking Bohusleden) and generally did so much over the course of the month that I can’t recall much more than these photos. Time flew.
