Goodbye 2017

The end of 2017 is fast approaching, which means I'll soon by closing the door on another blogging year. I can't believe how close 2018 is now… just 14 days away! And with that, it's time for me to wish you a Merry Christmas and say a big thank you for reading.
What a year 2017 has been! I started a new job, travelled, welcomed new faces into the world and said goodbye to loved ones, saw my design work at WordCamp Europe, got back on my bike, gave up the allotment, celebrated a marriage and we have finally finished all the odds and sods that needed doing around the house — it's done! Well, as done as houses ever are.
Travel was the big theme for 2017. Between us, we've visited France, Germany, Canada, America (twice), Portugal, Spain and a few places across the UK. I've spent the year yo-yo'ing between missing home and not wanting to leave the country I was in at the time. Canada was one of those places, I loved it there! But sadly our stay came to an end and we had to return to normality. All being said though, nothing beats coming home to your own bed.
This blog has been through a few changes. I spent the previous year building traffic and looking at ways I could earn a living from it. But the more I mulled the idea over, the more I realised I wanted this little corner of the internet to remain mine. A place to document life, share memories and motivate me to improve my photography. I appreciate every single one of you stopping by to read my thoughts. And to all my commenters — thank you! Your comments always put a smile on my face.
Anyway, enough of me waffling on. Here are some of my favourite photos and memories from 2017.

Have an amazing Christmas folks and I'll see you in the new year!
