Steaming drain

New York, Part 2

Following on from part 1 with more photos from the streets of New York. I planned to shoot most of this trip in colour given it’s Summer but the allure of black and white was too strong (plus cities are generally black and white in my mind).

Me and a teammate headed to the Brooklyn Bridge for a bit of sightseeing; it was just as impressive as I remember. We waded through a sea of people to the middle of the bridge and took some touristy selfies — whilst laughing at how hard it was to take a decent selfie, especially with humidity hair.

Steaming drain

Have you even visited NY if you don’t come home with a photo of a steaming drain cover? I think not.

Awesome photos. I love NYC and I have been missing it lately, particularly after my last visit 2 years ago. I stayed in Brooklyn near Prospect park and had a whole week to myself . I spend hours wondering through the streets and taking photos. I had enough time to finally see and feel the magic of New York, the buzzing energy, the never-ending roaming life…

Thanks so much Marta! Hours wandering through the streets and taking photos sounds like a great trip 🙂 Hopefully it won’t be too long before you can go back again. I’d love to visit Central Park next time (something I didn’t get a chance to see this time around).

  2. Great pics! I remember when you took the steaming drain cover 😀

Thanks Carla! Hopefully you feel the photo was worth the wait at the crossing 😂
