Another blanket for the stash! This one is made from cream granny squares with pink, green, brown and peach detail.

It seems a long time ago now that this blanket was a heap of multi-coloured wool!
This is one of the first projects I haven’t use a yarn made from either 100% wool or a blend with high wool content – Stylecraft Special DK is a 100% acrylic value yarn. I was a bit dubious about the how good quality this wool would be, but it’s actually pretty good.
Notes
- Wool: ‘Stylecraft Special DK’ 1004, 1005, 1026, 1080, 1064, 1065, 1132.
- Project duration: 7 weeks.
- Equipment: The crochet hook you see in the photo is a Clover Soft Touch crochet hook. It has a padded thumb area and a thicker ‘handle’ than your standard aluminium hooks, which makes it much more comfortable to use.
